Vicki is hosting today's Fun Monday and has challenged us to:
We'll need Spring pictures from your front door please, and also could you take a picture out your backdoor to satisfy my nosy sweet tooth?
I have to admit to signing up before I really read the challenge and perhaps if I'd read it properly I might not have agreed so readily. In fact I just read, could you take a picture out your backdoor to satisfy my nosy sweet tooth? I am not a gardener, I hate gardening although I do like pretty gardens. Every spring I head out to the garden and do my best to clear up all the debris from over the winter, plant the pots, mow the grass, trim the hedges and try and make my garden slightly respectable. I am very behind. I have trimmed both my neighbours hedges and swept the patio. I also tidied out the two sheds. Then my PA work got in the way and Joules has been working non stop without a day off for two weeks (the business has moved premises) as well as attending college three evenings a week and studying for his exams during any free time.
So I present my back garden, warts and all. The recycling corner (much tidier than before), empty pots (not sure if I'll plant them before I go to France as the plants will die from lack of water), trampolines (big and small), my compost bin (I recycle everything I possibly can), Joules cigarette butts (he's meant to throw away each jar as it fills up), the BBQ (thanks Sam), my pretty Moroccan lanterns, my pretty weeds (Pamela tells me they are bird food) and a picture of the house (yes, it could do with a lick of paint)!

Lovely tortoise fodder there I have run out of dandelions. I don't care to see all those cig butts!!
you could always say that you have a wildflower garden! Love the lantern.
a trampoline! i'd say your priorities are great.
jumping over weeding any day of the week.
Nothing handles rough terrain like a John Deere. You know, even when I smoked, the sight of cigarette butts made me feel queasy. (it didn't help any finding one in a pizza once)
I love the Lantern,pretty!:))
Looks like a lovely backyard to spend a weekend gardening.
Looks like a great yard to hang out in!
I'd feel uncomfortable in a person's perfect yard (just like a perfect house!)
I think you've seen my garden, so i wont compete.
The cigarette butts totally uck me out. Other than that, your yard looks lovely.
Oh boy - that John Deere tractor is to die for! (at least, that is why my kids would say!! hee hee).
I am so glad my husband doesn't smoke - I can't stand cig butts. Every so often my neighbor comes over and chats with my husband. When is visit is over we are always left with at least one butt in the yard. HATE IT.
I want...er, I mean, my kids really want a trampoline!
did i give you my bbq?
beccy, I had to laugh at the poor pot with no plants in it, I have one just like it. And I love your lantern it's very pretty.
who has time to garden when they cook like you do?!! That pie from yesterday looks FANTASTIC!
Great views.. thanks for playing along.
Really funny pictures of your garden.Do you drive often with your tractor? ;O)
As usual, your collage is wonderful!
Hey!! You said your yard was untidy!! I think it's LOVELY!!
sam you gave it to me to use and beccy wanted it and when I asked you if she could have it you said yes. As you aren't planning on coming back I don't think you need it.
I'm not sure I will post my backyard pictures but I will my front. My backyard isn't much to look at.
That is what my garden would look like if I had one.. I am not a gardener either so it would probably only have the dandilions in it :) but hey I LIKE those.. lol
I know someone with a lawnmower for sale. I can also get some ashtrays fromthe pub!! lol.
John, Dillon actually cut the grass today and ashtrays don't work as the wind blows the butts all over the garden. Thanks anyway!
I love the moroccan lamp--- it is gorgeous!
So do they bounce from the little one to the big one??? (The trampoline!!)
I want to hop on the tractor and go for a ride. Err, I mean my boys do ;) I didn't realize John Deere's were "across the pond", too.
lawns should have flowers. have you had a bbq yet this year?
you're forgiven for the butts... if you share the yummy dessert from the next post. ha!!
