Dear beccy. You like soup! (I have oft been laffed at for my soup addiction). You like silver. You don't wear makeup. You're so my long lost best friend!

Emma I do live in the same area as Maeve and many other famous people. It's a really nice part of Dublin but house prices are crazy hence we live in a shoe box. I've never seen Maeve but the place to catch these people I believe is Dalkey.

Look forward to it mum.

Kevin I will after I've asked him to marry me!

It takes quite a long time Elena Jane.

My4kids, I'm actually English and lived their till my early 20's. My parents had allotments and grew many vegetables including the braod beans. I hated them with a vengence and can still remember how they made me gag.

Little Miss Moi and you wear knee high socks! May the similarities continue.

Do I believe in heaven? NO.
Am I vegetarian? NO.
Have I nearly died? YES. Seven years ago, by a rather large tree.(see profile). 60/40 against survival.

beccy - i felt the same way about broad beans until I ate them fresh and shelled. Yes, chefs take the skins off and the best way to eat them when spring first arrives and they are tiny and young and tender. i guarantee you would like them.
They couldn't be further removed from those big fat smeary things wearing thick, tough grey jackets that we used to be forced to eat as children.

Beccy said...

No worries my4kids, I've never seen them here in Ireland but then I've never looked!

It sure took a long time Asha.

I'm glad you were the 40% John!

Maybe if I ever get to SF Sam, I'll be able to try them.

I gave up meat as well, but missed bacon too much, too!

and I would die if I couldn't get a Krispy Kreme. You poor, poor dear!

enidd said...

thanks for entertaining enid while she's ill, beccy. enid loves soup too. in molvania she has to make all her own from scratch because the only ones in the shops are those awful powdered ones in packets made from chemicals.

Beccy said...

Frannie, I never knew what I was missing until I visited the US a few years back, mmmmmmmmmm krispey creme donuts.

I hope Enid had lots of soup to help her get better.

Ailsa said...

Very interesting!

What are Krispy Kreme?

I always wanted to call one of our children Imogen,as I think that Imogen Stubbs is beautiful - but hubby hated that choice. So we didn't!

Beccy said...

Ailsa, krispey kremes are donuts from America. I'm not a big donut fan, in fact the Irish cannot make donuts but Sainsburys in the UK make delicious donuts. Krispey kreme donuts come in many different flavours/toppings and are delicious.

Sally Imogen is a lovely name but I found that men can be quite fussy when it comes to naming their children.

I noticed you'd tagged me here recently. You'll have to allow me some time to get around to it, but I will do it - just no promises on how soon.
