Happy Talking

Yippee, we bought a web cam last week and have been eagerly waiting all week for the opportunity to talk to Sam. We couldn't talk to her during the week because she is not home from work until after we are tucked up in our beds! It was with great excitement that we greeted the sight and sound of Sam on our computer but as much as we shouted and waved she could not hear us. It was very funny listening to her whilst Joules attempted to rectify the problem. At one point she muttered that she might turn off her web cam and we all shouted no, luckily she could finally hear us. Within seconds we had the camera working and were able to talk, laugh and pull silly faces. It was great fun and hopefully will become a regular Sunday event. If Mum updates her computer I'll be able to talk to her daily as well and the best thing is that it doesn't cost a cent .

Lucky you. We don't have a webcam but several friends we Skype do and I love to see their faces.

Webcams are definitely handy with family far away. The Australians love to see our girls.

It's not a great photo Mum, Mollie took it with my phone.

I'm off to check it out Sam.

It was great fun Barbara.

Emma, we should have done it before!

Dear beccy. That sounds just like me and my friends on Skype! Sometimes I can hear them, sometimes not... But when it all comes together it makes you feel like you're just next door. For free.

What a great idea. My Mum and Dad, who I don't see enough of, sadly aren't computer literate enough to even dare to touch it for the internet......... so sadly, whilst it would be great to get the family on webcam, it wouldn't work!
