Fun Monday #3

Swampwitch is hosting today's Fun Monday and came up with the brilliant idea of linking to a post that sticks in your mind for some reason. When I read this I knew immediately which post to link to. Sally visited my blog on the 15th November and caused great excitement over here, in fact I squealed with joy because she was the first stranger to visit my blog and comment. Other people who had commented had come to me via Mum's blog or comments I had left on their blogs. I duly read Sally's well written blog and over the months have come to know her well. Sally and I started blogging within a day of each other; we have to fight with our families for computer time and we're both addicted to Neighbours! Lots of Sally's posts really make me laugh as she can make the small inconsequential into a long funny post but the post that stopped me in my tracks was this. To me it sums up the Sally I know, honest, funny and thought provoking. Sally's love and concern for her family shine through and you end up really hoping and praying that all will be right for them in the end but whatever happens you know that Sally's family all love each other and that is what is most important. By the way, read the comments as well as Sally explains how hard it was to write this post and there is a wonderful tribute to Sally from her eldest daughter.

There are plenty more well written, thought provoking and/or funny posts I could have chosen but I am aware that this Fun Monday involves a lot of reading and is therefore very time consuming and us bloggers do have a life!

Good choice Beccy as you know I'm an avid reader of Sally who was also the first person outside family to leave a comment on my blog.

Dear Beccy and Bloggers

Thank you for reading my "money" post. I was so touched by all your lovely comments.

Just to let you know that I have now written a "post script" in the comments box on my blog, with an update. It needed something, but I couldn't keep revisiting it until we had found a solution......

Thank you for all your support.

Thank you everyone for all your comments, this has been a busy week for me and I'm still working my way through reading all the links suggested by other Fun Monday participants.

Beccy,
It sounds like Sally and her husband are loving, wonderful parents who would move heaven and earth for their (equally) wonderful children.
There is more to ife than money, and I think they've found that out, and their children will always remember it.
I can't think of a better life lesson for these lucky kids.
