A Snackalicious Super Dish

When I saw Robin's post which involved the chance to share recipes and be entered in a draw to win a cookbook I signed up straight away, then spent the next two weeks wondering what to post. Well I changed my mind a few times and finally decided to submit this bacon and pasta recipe, adapted from cookiecrumb who throws together the most wonderful dishes. As I've said before my photography is not up to much but this dish is delicious and it is easy to cook up a huge bowlful for those social gatherings.

Cook up required amount of tagliatelle, grill bacon rashers so nice and crispy, gently fry red onion and garlic. Drain pasta, add some olive oil and stir in the bacon, onion and garlic. Stir well and sprinkle grated Parmesan over the top. Serve with fresh bread, I recommend this no knead bread.

N.B. The bacon, onion and garlic can be cooked in advance making this a very quick and easy meal to serve up.

That looks really good. I don't eat pork, so I would use beef bacon. We do a mixture like that for perogies, but I didn't think to put it on pasta. Hmmm..perhaps we will have that for supper tonight.

How nice is this!!
Your dish looks really good. Much meatier than American bacon, thus yummier.
I'm so pleased your readers like it too.

Looks wonderful and yummy. I'm glad someone else thinks of pasta as snack food! It's just so quick - how could it not be! Bacon and red onion - can't go wrong there! Thanks for sharing Beccy!

P.S. Been meaning to try that bread recipe for eons! Your looks delicious... Someday I'll get around to it - seems I can never get the timing right!

Yum - that looks delicious -- especially with the red onion/bacon combo! I think I'll try that tonight (I happen to have some fresh tagliatelle in the fridge!).

yum. i agree that your bacon looks much meatier than what we can bacon, which is usually very fatty.

Yours is the second recipe with "bacon rashers" I've read today, I'm still waiting on the explanation, lol. I suppose I'll have to google!

And I'm assuming that other word I don't know is the pasta.

This sounds simple and DELICIOUS! Our family is carb-heavy, so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have to twist arms to get them to try this :).

Thanks for joining in today and spreading the word about Snackalicious and Recipe Round Up. There have been many wonderful-sounding recipes to try!
