The Result.

Thank you for all you kind comments and wishes of luck for Mollie, I did mean to report back after the match but life has been busy here. Mollie played the match of her life, this isn't just a proud mother saying it, everyone there who knew her commented on how well she played. Her old coach, who left the club a year ago stood and watched the last nine games then told Mollie how well she had played and how much she had improved which thrilled her. The score was 6/0 6/0 to the other girl but every game bar one went to deuce (sorry if you don't understand tennis scores but that's as close as it can get). Mollie walked off court hot and sweaty with red cheeks and a huge smile on her face and I was the proudest mum there!

I'm finding it hard to blog these days. The children are off school so I'm sharing the computer when we are home. We've been out a lot this week and any free time I've had has been spent watching Wimbledon. I guess during the holidays I won't be blogging as much, if the weather improves I'm looking forward to days out, trips to the beach and countryside, bike rides, hiking and time spent having fun with the children.

Good on Mollie! I'm also hoping for the weather to improve...but at least there's still Wimbledon!

That really is impressive. Luckily you mentioned that games went to deuce or it would have looked one sided. That's one of the anomalies of tennis, where you can have two equally matched opponents with a score-line that doesn't really indicate it. Unlike soccer where two teams of vastly different abilities can end up with a score-line of 1-0.

Well done Mollie I hope that you can go on enjoying playing, win some lose some, for as long as Grandma and I did and still will when I retire.
Beccy I am sorry I woke you up!!! and I too hope that you all have good time in the summer that is sure to start soon and look forward to seeing you. Love to all.

Well done Mollie! The score may have looked one sided, but almost every game going to duece shows it definitely wasn't. Good for her.

How exciting for her!! I can just imagine how proud you were and she of herself. Memorable moment.

I just love it when kids have a passion for something.

It is difficult finding time to blog now. We're also busy doing summer stuff. I imagine there will be some slow days for us and I'll catch up then.

Yeah Mollie! Good job! Going to Deuce each game is VERY impressive.

(I took Tennis and sucked - but had a winning record, because I was on Junior team so always played the youngest players - and would kick their butts - but I still sucked)

Good job to Mollie! Wether you win or lose its how well you played the game that counts.

I'm not blogging quite as much right now either for the same reason the kids are on the computer more when I'm off work and we aren't running around finding fun things to do.

Congrats to Mollie!

Can't blame you for not blogging much, I probably would stay away now myself, but I have all those questions to answer!

Well Done for Mollie!

I am finding this very true here at our house. Before the kids got out of school. I thought I'd have more time to blog, since I didn't have to run them back and forth, but there is that detail of sharing a computer I overlooked. Summer vacation's half over now, pretty soon, I'll be counting the days until they go back!

I would love to learn how to play tennis.
