After years of perserverance...

Mollie started playing tennis two and a half years ago. Last year she started playing tennis competitively. She went out on court tournament after tournament and lost each match with a huge smile on her face. She enjoyed playing competitively and wanted to continue even though the girls she was competing with had been playing since they were six. She worked hard and moved into the top squad in our club. Today she played in her first tournament this year (due to injuries and holidays) and...she won. I was thrilled for her and she was so pleased to have finally won a match outside the club. Tomorrow she plays the number two seed...no pressure. I advised her to try and keep her opponent out on court as long as possible. Good luck Mollie.

Awww -- congratulations to Mollie!!

(psst, I'm nutso about tennis. My son is playing a bit - but I wish he could play consistently.....hopefully when he changes school, they will spur him on. He's got a natural talent with it....oh joy....).

It must be so lovely to see her enjoy it and finally win a game all on her own hard work!
