A Day Off

Yesterday was election day and Mollie and Ben's school was closed as they used it as a polling station. I took the opportunity to meet up with my sisters-in-law for a picnic at Powerscourt Waterfall. The sun was shinning, the rain stayed away, we had a delicious picnic lunch while the children got to play in the playground. After that we went to the waterfall where Ben, Mollie and Sara (Mollie's friend) donned their swimming togs and got very wet. The younger cousins managed to keep dry (although they were dying to splash with their big cousins).

P.S. Can anyone guess where we were before we went to the waterfall?

beccy its a while since I've seen the 'cousins' how grown up they're looking and I do believe Benny boy has had his hair cut- I didn't get a phone call today so I guess he was happily occupied!! You said you were in the playground before going to the waterfall but you obviously mean something else (hospital visit? now I need to know!). Is that a new white skirt I see ??

Oh and I feel for you sister in law and the baby you has to do casting. That is so hard to do!

since you were obviously at the playground (as your Mum said), I don't think that is my guess. so where would Beccy most like to be? a Tennis court is my guess.

Dear beccy. I just love your collages. What a great way to keep memories. And your family and friends are all so photogenic! Have you ever thought of printing them and getting them mounted on a foam board or something? They're just great.

Looks like a great day, and the baby sleeping in the carriage is just adorable!
Did you have lunch somewhere before you went? (I hope it was something fun!)

was it just the danger aspect, the cold aspect or forgetting their togs aspect that left the little ones on the sidelines, jealous?
