Fun Monday #6 My Blogging Environment

Willowtree is hosting todays Fun Monday with the idea to post about our blogging environment. As was painfully clear on the first Fun Monday I live in a shoe box and do not have a study or computer room. Much as I'd like a study I don't think the computer would find it's way in there as I have a teenage son and the computer screen can be seen from the kitchen and the sitting room so he can't be googling big boobs without being seen.

I decided to be very honest (read lazy) and take the photographs of the desk exactly as I found it this morning. I didn't tidy or dust so this is what I sit at for blogging. There are a few of Ben's games on the desk and Dillon's blank cd's. There is the cradle for uploading photographs from the camera. A pen just incase I need to write anything down, the book I keep for writing in seems to have disappeared. Finally a small plastic bag, not sure what that is from or for. The chair we sit at is from the dining table which is situated next to the desk. It is not the most comfortable chair but all we have room for in our shoe box.

So very tidy and cozy. The post below goes well with today's post. Eating while blogging.

Thanks Mark, I'd still like your big table if only I had the room for it.

A friends son was caught googling that Erik!

I've no room for clutter, I have a basket for any computer stuff to be stored in Sally.

Enid, I didn't photograph the rest of the untidy room!

Shame my garden isn't very nice mum but the light is lovely.

Thanks Yara, we've had it that colour and I think it's time for a change.

Eating and blogging is something I do often Swampy!

Dear beccy. Oh, it's lovely to see the bootbox! It's so nice and green and matches your blog. I think your boots are larger than I imagined. Oh gawd, the bloody gaming joystick. I hid the X-Box and Mr Moi's games when the removalists delivered them, and he seems to totally forget he even packed them, hooray! Tanks for sharing.

Beccy said...

I'm looking forward to seeing yours Sabrina.

Thanks Asha.

Little miss moi, we've too many of these gaming joysticks to try and hide them, thank goodness I didn't have to photograph around the TV!

The only thing I couldn't deal with in your environment is the chair. I have to have a squeaky rolling chair.

OK... I cleaned up my paper that was here and there. I even wiped up my coffee circle that is always stained on the left.

Googling big boobs, He must be terribly interested in politics.

Beccy said...

Nikki the walls are very bright I'm thinking of changing them but not sure what colour.

It's fun to see everyones blogging space Elena Jane.

I even showed you the good chair Pamela. I can categorically say that my son is very interested in politics...

...(not).

The good thing about a smallish space is there's less to mess up, eh? I totally agree the monitor must be in a place where it can be seen by everyone and to lessen any temptation to google (ahem) unsavory-for-teen images.

I didn't tidy things up either for my post (but I AM getting ready to wreck it a bit...ha!).

Beccy,
I love the wall color, looks so fresh.
I won't (hopefully) have to worry about where the computer is for a while.Kids now have one in the playroom with NO internet access, which I can't see changing for many years!

How stylish are you--the Fun Monday button matches your walls! I like the color!

I have sons, so my computer will always remain out in the open also!

Beccy said...

Looking forward to reading your post later Shauna.

Great minds Robin...

Lisa my son has an old computer in his room and I've told him he's never going to have internet in his room!

It's the only way momto3cubs.

Another color I adore! Really nice. Smart thinking on the placement of the computer. I was a little slow on that with my oldest son and there was much boob ogling and googling. They need to put that one in the handbook.

I betcha anything you've got World Sex Dot Com bookmarked on Explorer. :)

Very neat and tidy. I love the wall color too.

"Googling big boobs". heh heh heh - That's a good reason for having a computer out in the open. I fear that day is coming sooner than I am ready for in my house too.

I would be far too embarrased to show my blogging environment....

Now that's what I'm talking about! A monitor, a keyboard, a chair and access to the world. It's not about biggest or best, mind you I'd swap mine for Mark's any day, it's just to have a little insight into the blogs we read. Well done.

my4kids said...

Beccy your blogging environment is much tidier then mine (except maybe when I am at work, maybe). I do like the color to but that may be because I am jealous since we are renting right now and can only have boring white walls, I love color and our last house has a lot of blue walls. Can you tell by my blog I like the color blue? I should look into this fun monday thing maybe it would give me something else to blog about sometimes besides the latest bad luck we have been having.

my4kids said...

also our computer is in our living room as to make less temptation for the big boobie googling. hehe

I adore the green.

Seriously in love with it.

Teenage sons and computers and boobs. Oh boy I've got a few stories I could tell.

Steffi said...

I have only a little place for our computer too like you Beccy! Our "family-computer" have a little corner in our living roon!Only my older daughter have her own computer in her room!

Beccy said...

Mary I think my son would have liked it if I'd been a bit slow only I'd been forewarned.

What? I don't understand you Matt! (Looks around shiftly)!

Thanks Amy, it seems to be popular or people are being polite.

Karmyn, that day will come sooner than you expect.

That sounds intriging Frannie I can only imagine you blogging from a red hot love nest!!

Willowtree I could have shown you a different chair, fondly known as the toilet seat, not a good one to sit in!

My4kids, Fun Monday is great because you have a title for the post and it's probably something you wouldn't think of doing. With teenagers you have to be able to see the screen at all times.

Thanks Jenny.

Welcome back Barbara, now that sounds like some stories worth hearing!

Steffi, I quite like blogging whilst everyone else is around, chatting etc.

Has your son been using my computer? I keep finding Big Boob and big booty sites in the history of the address bar. Some downloads too. Please ask him to stop...with all that junk on there my own 16 year-old boy has trouble doing his serious Government research projects. My boy studies all day and into the night. Sometimes I worry about him.

I'm a fraid to take a picture of mine. Yours looks awesome compared to mine anyway.

How numb does your tailbone get though?? ;)

Beccy said...

Min, I do appologise for any downloading my son may have done which has interfered with your sons serious Government research projects! As your son is busy working day and night I suggest you offer him some relief, plenty of which can be found online...

...I believe!

Slick what tailbone...oh that...it's hidden under a pound of flesh!
