Probably good not to have too much jam. Have you ever burnt the roof of your mouth on a recently cooked jam tart because the jam hasn't had time to cool? Ouch!!
One of my favorite childhood memories is of making jam tarts with my mom. Whenever she would make pie, we would clamor for "leftover" pie dough. Now looking back I'm quite sure she would make an extra batch.

I am glad for my diet I am a gazillion miles away. It's nice to be able to look and dream though.
Tasted good as well, though we didn't put enough jam in.
