Half a Challenge

Sam recently set a challenge to photograph everything you eat for seven days. Originally I thought 'no way', then 'why not'. So last Monday I began to take photographs of every morsel that passed my lips. I have to admit to not being a great (or even good) photographer but hell it seemed like fun and might even encourage me to not snack as much.

At first it was easy to take time and photograph all my food. The children found it funny that before each meal I would be moving the plate around , checking on the light etc. By day four life was becoming very hectic. I was in numerous runs dropping and collecting children, feeding said children at different times as they flitted in and out the front door with minutes to spare. By the time I ate my lunch on Thursday at 3.30pm, it was no joke flaffing around with the camera first. I was starving and just needed sustenance.

I have to admit that Friday passed in such a flurry, Mollie and Ben had no school, it was a miserable, rainy day and we were rushing around getting all the stuff together in preparation for Ben's party. It wasn't until Friday evening that I realised I had taken no photos and that was the end of that.

I was then going to opt out of the challenge but as I had taken photos for four days I thought I would practice with the newly installed Picasa. As you may ascertain, if you study the collage closely, there are some duplicates. I took 19 photographs but the collage is made up of 25 photos, so some are doubled, you can tell which ones. Besides the above I drank copious amounts of peppermint tea and not as much water as I should have! Posted by Picasa

Peppermint tea must be good too! And besides without it, your identity wouldn't be Peppermint tea!

You did better than me. I didn't even manage to take one photo of my food. I can use Spain as an excuse, but perhaps really I may not have anyway? ......

So, fout days with your busy life is an exellent effort I think!

At some point I will do the challenge. I just knew last week would be a difficult week so didn't participate. Well done for trying.
