The Saga Continues...

Ooops I guess I hit the publish instead of save as draft button when I went to make dinner! I didn't even do a spell check! I was going to finish this tomorrow but it looks like Waterloo Road and Hotel Babylon aren't on telly tonight so I'll continue the saga.

I eventually got hold of Dillon's friend's older brother who was with them and he was able to tell me that he had walked Dillon to the dart station and that he was ok. A sheepish Dillon emerged from the next dart and the lesson he's learned is that he goes back to the friends house not travel on his own in the dark.

I was too stressed to even get mad at him so it was off to A&E at 9:15pm when Mollie should have been tucked up in bed. Not many cars in the car park which was a good sign. Even fewer people in the waiting room which was better. Unfortunately there was no receptionist so we had to wait half an hour before we could book in. We then had to wait to see a triage nurse who told us that Mollie may have to go the children's hospital (a long, long way away). After another long wait we got to see a lovely doctor. The doctor asked Mollie what had happened and Mollie said 'at gymnastics I jumped onto the horse' I was watching the doctor and she looked startled when she heard 'jumped onto the horse' I laughed and explained that the horse was in fact a wooden box not a horse that eats hay and says neigh.

We joined the queue for an x-ray which moved pretty quickly then back to the doctor for the results. The good news was that Mollie's toe was not broken just badly injured. The bad news was that she can't enter the Girls Brigade dance competition tomorrow night (she was leading from the front) and she can't go hiking at the weekend with the scouts. Mollie's toe was taped up and she was given a pair of crutches to use for the next few days but she should be right as rain by the end of next week! After paying the €60 bill we headed home at 11:30pm.

Mollie is very tired today!

The Saga Begins...

Last night I reacquainted myself with our local Accident and Emergency Department. Those of you who were reading my blog back in January know of my recent trips to A&E and last night it was Mollie again, this time it was her toe not her thumb. At her gymnastics lesson yesterday Mollie felt off the horse and bent her large toe under her foot. Within a few hours her toe was very swollen and bruised and she couldn't touch it. By 8pm when she was showered and ready for bed she was close to hysterical trying to rub Arnica cream onto it. At this point I decided a trip to A&E was necessary so we hopped into the car. Luckily Joules had arrived home from college and I told him Dillon was at the cinema with friends and was getting a lift home.

Just as we pulled up at the hospital my phone rang. Joules to say Dillon was getting the dart home on his own. When I said he was meant to be getting a lift and was not allowed on the dart alone at that time Joules said what else could he do. I wanted to get Dillon to go home to his friends and after finding the phone number of his friend rang to tell him but unfortunately the phone was not answered. So Mollie and I got back into the car and drove to the dart station to meet Dillon. A dart arrived, five people got off but not one of them was Dillon. I started to panic and rang Dillon's friends house.
