These photos were taken in Sarlat, the nearest town to where we were staying. The town centre was very beautiful and quaint with lots of old buildings built with local rock and little squares with cafes and restaurants where you could just sit and watch the world pass by. The centre photograph was once a Church, do you see those doors? Huge. Now it is a daily market selling lots of delicious local produce. Also in Sarlat was a shop selling the tastiest ice cream ever so we visited a few times. The first time we went for three scoops but it was very rich so we learnt a lesson and stuck to two scoops thereafter.

More lovely photos- funnily enough I was going to do another post on Canada today but I needed you to do my collage. You must be out so I shall hav eto change it-dad has already phoned to see why I haven't posted he must be getting withdrawal symptoms at work.
Ice cream so rich three scoops is too many??? That sounds absolutely divine! I seriously need to go on vacation with you next time... Sigh...
Yet another place to add to my ever growing list of "Places I Must One Day Visit".
Thanks!
Beautiful pictures!
The kids don't look happy, did they get tired of waiting for more ice cream? :)
Fantastic photos as always.
Great pictures! I love your collages!
I'll take an ice cream cone too please!
Looks like a great town. I want some of that ice cream too.

thank you for sharing the pics!! I love seeing them;)
Lovely architecture!
Nice pictures. Wonderful memories. Old buildings with rocks make a loverly architecture. Ice cream's not my favourite.
Beautiful. I'd love to go sometime.
The ice cream sounds good. I do love REAL ice cream. My body doesn't though!
It looks a beautiful town.
Well, what flavors were the three scoops?
J'aime la France, naturellement, mais le tablier que vous avez porté sur le « amusement lundi » il y a quelques semaines était répugnant. Peut-être si vous auriez été nu sous….
What a wonderful vacay that must have been!
Man, those buildings are so old! They need to pull them down and put up some nice new ones.
what a beautiful town!
very pretty....it looks beautiful :)
and 3 scoops is 2 1/2 too many for me ;)
I've never been to France (heck, out of my own country :/), so the next best thing to visiting is seeing it through the pictures of others. Thanks for sharing your eyes :).
I loved the small towns in France, and the food - so far away from here.
Now you're really making me jealous :-) Seriously, these photos are gorgeous!
Have you ever seen that move "The Holiday"? It's where someone from the UK switches homes with someone from the US for a little vacation.
Ok, so there probably isn't anything here that you'd like to do, but I swear I have never seen more things that I would like to do, than when I look at your pictures! Don't you want to switch lives with me, just for a week? Maybe a month? :)
Great pictures! Can't wait to see where you go next!
who was that frowning in that picture -- how can anyone frown when surrounded by such beautiful country and architecture.
It looks so lovely!
Those have to be the biggest doors I've ever seen! Looks like a must-visit spot...beautiful.
Wow, those are lovely! What a gorgeous place to visit. Your mention of the ice cream reminds me of a place near Tintagel Castle where I tasted my first Cornish Double Cream Ice Cream. After the first lick, I handed it back and asked for a second scoop to be plopped on top. The lady laughed knowingly. That's one place I don't mind taking visitors too....just so I can sneak another ice cream. And ice cream doesn't rank that high in my favs!
Hey Beccy - Beautiful photos and French and Italian ice cream - oh SO good! But I'm with mme Du Bois - how about a change of sceneery!?
