Inequality Sucks!

It doesn't strike me as fair that I could go to the same hairdressers as Dillon, get the same stylist as Dillon, have my hair cut in the same style as Dillon yet it would cost me €15 more because of my gender. Then if we both decided on highlights it would cost him €50 and me €120.

Do you think I could disguise myself as a male next time my hair needs a cut?

All the photo's are self portraits as I wasn't allowed to take a picture of the new hairstyle.

I think it's worth a try, so save some money.
Seriously, it's like the dry cleaners, too.
Maybe you could go to a barbershop (though I don't know if they do coloring!)

please tell Dillon that his Aunt thinks his haircut is the best she has ever seen on him. If the mere thought of his aged aunt being rather fond of his haircut makes him feel uncomfortable or uncool then feel free to bend his aunt's words in whatever way necessary to encourage him to keep said cool haircut.

Wow that's an amazing difference in price! Got my hair cut today and it cost me an arm and a leg. Sigh...

I saw a whole story on the news about that, about the sexism in pricing. How even women's deodorants and shaving creams are more expensive...

It really is unfair!

That is ridiculous!
But Dillon's hair is SO CUTE!

That's pretty crazy!!

Nice pics though :).

I note Dillon went to the privacy of the bathroom for his photo shoot!!

Hell! I could do that for a fiver!!
Or am I getting old?

I agree it doesn't make sense. Although the place we go to charges the same for both genders.

Nice cut for Dillon though! I love the fact he took his own pictures.

He is a good photographer!! Great pics of his own hair!:))
Yeah! Disguised as a man for a cheaper hair cut is worth a try!:D

wow. i knew there was a reason i stopped getting my hair cut. prices!

(i haven't had a hair cut since the mid-80s. and no, my hair isn't crystal gayle-length. it just keeps curling up and remains the same shoulder length it's always been.)

Spuds' Barber charges 9 euro. A hairdresser asked me for 13.50 to do his hair on Monday when the Barbers was closed. I legged it!

That is ridiculous difference in price.. the cut looks pretty cool though :)

Very cool haircut!

Dillon makes a great photographer. Those are some really good self portraits.

That's not fair to charge us more. Which reminds me I need to get a haircut!

No, why should you have to revert to subterfuge just to get a fair deal? Just go in with Dillon and refuse to pay more than him. That's what they're starting to do over here.

I agree with you about prices at hair salons. DH's haircut is $10. Mine is $30. Same amount of time.

Dillon is quite the model! Cool haircut.

You've just voiced the very reasons why I try not to go to the hairdresser all that often (perhaps once every six months). Dillon's haircut looks great.

it's the same with the dry cleaners.
My jacket $25
His jacket $15

Lisa the last time Dillon had long hair we took hom to the barber but he didn't like the result. As he wanted a style I felt a hairdressers was the better option.

Sam, Dillon is thrilled his aged aunt likes his hair.

Hellojed, would love to see a picture of your hair...seeing as it cost you an arm and a leg!

Catwoman, this is the first time I realised we get charged more for the same haircut.

Marmite Breath, I'll tell him if I can drag him away from the mirror.

Thanks Amy.

Mum, strange thing to say but yes.

But could you really do that John? I'd be happy to pay a fiver.

Terri, we need places like that here.

I agree Frannie.

Thanks Beckie, he spent time doctoring it...

Erik, not sure I agree...

Asha, but I'm not sure my disguise will pass muster.

Wow Laurie, no haircut for 20 years. I love your curly hair.

Misslionheart I always used the Barbers €8 as long as you go on a weekday, only last time Dillon had long hair cut short they listened to him then did their own thing. It really put him off getting his hair cut.

Thanks Tonya.

Christine Dillon is big into photography.

Good idea WT, but am I brave enough to do that? Hmmm not sure that I am.

Kila, it's so unfair.

Carla, same here, I'm growing out a short haircut because it cost too much to maintain.

Pamela, I rarely dryclean because of the cost. I handwash the stuff instead and it seems to work.

Misslionheart, me too see you at lotto headquarters!
