Fun Monday #15

OK so I wasn't going to participate this week. The challenge chosen by Julie was very good, she challenged us to post about:

"Your best spy camera photo and story about the photo".

I had a very busy weekend, I helped organise a fundraising event at my youngest children's school and celebrated a bit much to remember to even take any photographs. The next day I was too ill and busy to even think of looking for photographs. Yesterday I caught up with my poor neglected house and family and all thoughts of Fun Mondaying were far from my mind. Today I went into Dublin, hoping to meet Sabrina. Unfortunately it was not to be but I did come home with four large shopping bags (mostly presents for family members). As I was walking back to the train station I caught a glimpse of the perfect spy picture, unfortunately I was laden down with six bags and had no time to dump them and take a picture as they passed me by so instead I'll have to describe it:

A mother (about 40) and her daughter (about 10) wearing matching clothes. Yuk. The clothes were actually quite nice, a denim jacket, brown skirt, tights and black boots but purlease not both mother and daughter in exactly the same clothes. Definitely NOT a good look.

It always cracks me up to see moms and kids dressing the same, although it's kind of freaky if you ask me.

I did that occasionally when Rachel was young (Laura Ashley coordinating dresses), but she would croak if I suggested it now! Sometimes we have on the same general color scheme now, but since we own NOTHING exactly the same, she's okay with that...and it IS always an accident if that occurs.

Sounds like you might've been having fun lately...;).

I bought one outfit the same as Ashley once, but never wore it.

Good thought on the spy picture!

I had a dress once that was the same fabric as the girls but never did wear it the same time as them. Never realy had occasion where I thought it would be "cute" or whatever...

HeHe!! Lucky that woman has a daughter who likes to wear clothes like her mom's or is it the mom is trying to be "hip"!!;D

Great post for Monday even without pics.

I would have liked to see that.. I have never really noticed that happening before but I am not very perceptive.. lol

Yeah. It's probably better you didn't capture that one on film. ;)

I've seen tons of kids dressed similarly, but not the moms - yuck.

Unless they had just been to a really crowded amusement park - then dressing the same would be good to keep track of each other.

This would have been worth seeing; what's the story about not meeting Sabrina?

Nikki as I said, they were nice clothes but just too twee on the pair of them.

Ooops Robin, I hope I didn't offend you but I thought it made the mother look a bit old and sad.

It was indeed Hellojed.

Amy, I wish I had time to take a photo but they were past me in a flash.

Methinks you have good taste then Terri.

Asha, the clothes suited them both, just not at the same time.

I probably could have snapped a few of those Enidd!

Tonya, I bet you would have had your lovely new camera out ready to take photos.

Melissa, it might have given us a laugh though.

Karmyn, although I wouldn't do it I don't mind seeing children dressed alike, it's a bit cheesy when an adult is involved.

Consider yourself gagged Lisa!

Not a pretty site Pamela and a great reason to have a spy camera.

Mum, I couldn't get in touch with Sabrina to finalise our meeting, a shame but I got time to fit in some shopping!

What's the big deal? I dress like my mum all the time.

My daughter would kill me if I tried to dress even remotely like her. Though she does say I dress hip for a mother, and don't embarrass her with mom-jeans.

let's see--if i dressed like my mom, i'd have to start with giant white tennis shoes. then black pants. always black. then hot pink on top. then curly white hair..... nope. can't see it. but if i ever did, i imagine the spy cameras woudl be working double-time.

great post! made me laugh at 5 a.m., and that's tough to do.
