Fun Monday #14

When I first read Robins challenge to post our bad hair day/s I thought 'what a shame, I can't play this week because I don't have bad hair days'. My mother set out to prove me wrong.

Posted by Picasa

In my defence I would like to point out that most of those bad hair days occurred during my teenage years (in the 1980's); the last two were included to show me during my one brief flirtation with being blonde and I no longer slap on the makeup but have learnt the art of subtlety.

80's hair!
I don't think they are all bad though. Some yes but not all.

Oh, hooray for mothers! Why is it they're so bent on destroying us like this?

what a lovely smooth skinned british beauty~!!!!!!

I'm in love with all that hair.

Oh the 80's, with all that hair, how did we hold up our heads? My4kids is right; some of the styles are cute.

Oh Beccy. Just when you thought it was safe to trust your mother.

I had to crack up at some of them. God, that's made my night. Off to bed now (since it's actually now morning. OMG! I'm up so late!)

Dear Beccy's Mum--you are so evil and so brilliant.

Aren't there some missing!! I might be forced to post them

It´s interesting to see your change hairs over the years.I find your hair on your last picture (rigth side)not bad and you looks nice!

You really were a child of the 80s. I like the hair in the last picture. It's not bad at all.

Beccy said...

CC OMG is right!

Terri, thank God we grew up and out of it!

Tracey you should see Mum's post.

Pamela, would you belive but Mum used to complain about my fine hair but there's so much of it!

MJD like the ones of me as a child?

MB, I got her back, I made her collage and it's double the size!

Mum, I felt 16 were enough.

Steffi and Emma, the blonde pictures are ok and I like the cut. I only included them because I was blonde. My hairdresser persuaded me to try blonde but I prefer dark colours and reddish tints so being blonde was an experience.

These are hysterical! I love the one with the boy george style hat - did you have leg warmers and rolled up sleeves too?

Yvonne said...

Ah some of them aren't so bad! The 80's was the decade that style forgot after all.

Beccy, I'm so glad my own mother was not as, ahem, "helpful" with the childhood pics. A great collage!!! And you are super cute as a blonde, too!

Mr. X said...

You actually posted that voluntarily?

*bows down in respect*

Actually you look pretty good in most of them. But then again, we were a teenager in the 80's too, so our sense of taste might be somewhat suspect!

GOsh those first two look like Mollie.

ChrisB said...

no i'm not a tree hugger hehehe would you believe I found a good photo in legwarmers and nearly put that in!!

GREAT collage! FANTASTIC bad hair, I think I had a few of those styles through the years, hehe.

But some of 'em looked good, which was s m a r t to sneak in :).

I still haven't written mine (which is actually the third in a hair series...:/), but if I have time today AFTER that, I'm going diggin' for my bad hair shots...I know I've got at least 16;).

You look like an entirely different person in every shot. You could go into a witness protection program with total ease.

Comforting to know, isn't it?

You don't have bad hair days, you have bad smile days!! I think your hair looks lovely! (You just don't look too happy in some of the photos!- But where are the missing pictures?)

I am glad I don't have to enter Fun Mondays. I had a bad hair yesterday. I couldn't wash it because of my injured hand but I had to go and hhave my picture taken anyway for in a magazine and I guess it turned out A W F U L. I guess I can wait for that article to come out.

HEE HEE - Totally 80's hair. Love the Boy George hat look! I got a good giggle today - thanks (only because these hair styles hold such memory for me.)

Hmmm, I'm confused. I was sure I left a comment, but then I did read this late last night so I probably didn't hit Publish. Now it's too late, everyone has said everything except that it's a surprise to find that you were in Culture Club.

My favorite one is the 3rd photo in the second row--with hat on. You are ready to party.

Dear beccy. If you'd pulled out some of these 'dos only five years ago, you'd have been a hit, with the 80s revival and all! Even if it is 80s hair, I can tell it was fashionable at the time :o)

What a great collection! :)

sallywrites said...

It's BIG hair - but it's not bad, just a different fashion.............

We'll be back there again one day. You'll see!!!

Like the blonde! That was more of a shock

Dea said...

You've had more styles than Princess Di Beccy! Gotta love the eighties though... I had a God awful spiral perma and a huge fluffy fringe at some point... sweet Lord what were we thinking? :-) LOL!

So that's how you get 41 comments. Post a picture of yourself with bad hair.
